REDDCopernicus participates in the Finnish Satellite Workshop and Remote Sensing Days 2021 (https://spaceworkshop.fi), which is organized as a virtual event 23-24 August 2021.
It is one of the largest New Space meetings in Northern Europe, with nearly 500 participants. It brings together space technology specialists, scientists and EO users to discuss current topics in the rapidly developing space field.
The VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is in charge of REDDCopernicus activities related to the identification of research gaps in Earth Observation-based Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) monitoring within the European context. VTT will hold a presentation in the ‘Biodiversity and Climate’-session, on 24 August, the second day of the workshop. The presentation “European stakeholder requirement analysis – remote sensing of biodiversity is the main gap in sustainable forest management monitoring” will present the main findings and their effect on future research needs in different areas of forest sustainability monitoring from the European Stakeholder Workshop conducted during the REDDCopernius project.
